Feeling the feet...

... feeling them all too good.

Yesterday I was at this kickoff organized by the shopping mall I work at. It was good food, free beer (some of it, at least) and a concert with the norwegian hiphop duo Karpe Diem . I also work with a bunch of really nice girls, so we had a lot of fun.

I wore my first sewing project (a black dress), and heels of course. It's strange to think that I used to wear heels all the time, everyday. I had high-heeled boots for everyday use, and not a party without my "party heels" (the really high kind, if you get what I mean). This is probably around five or six years ago. I also used a lot of makeup. Always.

Now I'm more the sneaker kind of girl. I love sneakers, all kinds. I forget to put make up on in the mornings, and I am always casual, seldom classy.

Waking up this morning my toeballs were still sore, and clearly unhappy. It felt like the bones in my feet were angry and kicking at me. It is these days, when I wake up with a hangover even though I only had six pints, and my feet aches even though I didn't were my highest party heels and didn't really dance alot... These days I feel a little old.

But when I manage to get up and out, feel the sun in my face as I listen to happy music, drink an ice coffee... then I'm young again. Feeling larger than life.

It's just one of those things.

Don't touch the bones!

Or any of the other gooey stuff...

I just finished Bones season 1, and finally I get what my sister has been going crazy for lately. I have seen an episode or two previously, but never got a "I need to watch this series-kick". Although to be fair, I rarely get that kick and even when I do, I hardly ever manage to watch the series anyway.

I guess it is a result of my time without a TV, combined with the fact that I really don't care that much. I only watch TV when I'm utterly bored and done with net-surfing, and then I just flip the channels until something I can watch pops up. I have never been that "my show starts in ten minutes, change the channel"- kind of girl.

So Bones surprised me. A lot. I really like the series, and its geeky humor. It definitely has its flaws, but they are flaws I can live with. The first season balances neatly on the "information you need to know" about the characters line, but sometimes it reaches out and gives you a little more insight. My favourite episodes is the one about a little boy, and the season's finale. I'll put in the proper names later, because if you only want to see two Bones' episodes in your life, those are the ones to see.

My sister bought the second season already, and I can't wait for her to finish it so that I can borrow it!

Give me spring...

... and these dresses from tulip&tatamo.

I couldn't imagine a better way to start enjoying the warmer weather. Or I could, but do not want to at the moment. After I finish the jacket project that I'm currently involved with, I will start sewing for summer. I have one butterfly dress already planned, and then I'd like to sew something like these dresses. Cute dresses with some originality on top. It's a winner.

On another note I am eagerly awaiting a dress and to dress/tops from Hild Rief. I am childlishly excited, since it's been awhile since my last shopping spree. The clothes are from her fall/winter collection, so the colours are rather dark and un-spring like, but I'm sure I can get invited to some dramatic party where black will be the right colour. *Glee*

Sleep tight

I keep staying up too late... I'm blaming the easter holiday, although I know it's the night person in me getting me in trouble. The days are getting longer, so I keep waking up at these early hours, not ready to get up... but who can sleep soundly with the sun in their eyes? Not me.

Some stuff that may persuade me to find the bed at a more reasonable time. Plus they would look great in my bed. Pictures from Pbteen.

Do WANT...

... a stove with this one on.
Picture is borrowed from Morbeline.

Figgjo, baby!

Just discovered something new to look for at fleamarkets. Old porcelain from the norwegian company "Figgjo". I have seen the design before of course, but I just never knew the name or the company.

So, the hunt begins.

My favourite designs so far:

"Maja"

"Mexico"

"Annemarie"

"Safran"

Some really nice music

I used to know a girl. We were never really friends, but our parents were. She used to sing all the time, and I used to think she was showing off. She had a beautiful soft voice, and these are songs from one of her projects/bands.

I really like them, and feel bad for being a selfish brat who wanted this beautiful voice to be quiet... once upon a time.

Hild Rief spring collection 2009

It's here! Love the colours and the shapes, but the prizes are a bit steep for my student wallet. No worries though, I can make it myself. Perhaps...

Tip!
Check out the sales page, lots of goodies... CHEAP!

Happy bug

I just came in from my workout with Mo, feeling good. I was supposed to do some serious reading (exams are coming up fast), but decided to be a bit creative instead. I need to get better at taking my creativity more seriously. Starting today.

One creative project a week doesn't sound too bad, so I'll start there.
